Who We Are
With over 30 years of experience as an architect, Jeffrey Hirsch founded HirschCultureWorks LLC (HCW) to help museums and other cultural institutions explore how their built environments can enhance their missions and values. Jeff’s expertise includes gallery and exhibition spaces, public engagement and the preservation of cultural heritage. He encourages cooperation as a lynchpin of creativity and advances sustainability as an environmental, financial and intellectual strategy. Notable work for the Smithsonian Institution includes the National Museum of Natural History, the Museum Support Center, the National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. He has also guided major renovations and additions to Liberty Science Center, the Susquehanna Art Museum, and Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. His projects have won several awards including two national design commendations from the American Institute of Architects. Jeff is a regular presenter at AIC, SPNHC and at AAM conferences. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
