Susquehanna Art Museum

Harrisburg, PA

A new museum to encourage and inspire a transforming community and catalyze art education in the Commonwealth.

This project transformed an abandoned bank into the first dedicated art museum in Pennsylvania’s capitol. The design uses the historic building as a distinctive entry and community gallery; a new, climate-controlled addition provides a state-of-the-art home for traveling exhibitions. The building’s façade reflects its dynamic site, bringing a civic scale to an emerging creative district in Harrisburg.
