Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History
National Mall in Washington, DC
Three projects for one of the most visited museums in the world create vibrant and inclusive places for the public to engage Smithsonian expertise and its vast collection.
Q?rius is an interactive learning space where the public experiences the science that takes place behind the scenes, allowing everyone to interact with researchers and objects from every department at the museum.
Deep Time tells the history of our planet and its changing climate using the museum’s largest and most iconic artifacts. The scale and complexity of the fossils is shown for the first time in generations in a gallery that’s been returned to its Beaux Arts grandeur and filled with natural light.
Renovations to the Atrium Café provide a variety of iconic, themed dining experiences for the large crowds who visit the museum.
